American Tower, an American real estate investment trust, completed the acquisition of 142 telecommunications towers from Axtel, a Mexican information and communications technology company, for $56m. "We are very pleased to have completed this sale of non-strategic assets that contributes to improving the Company’s capital structure. This transaction is another step in our effort to create value for customers and shareholders," Rolando Zubirán Shetler, Axtel CEO.
