The Amynta Group acquired Guardsman from The Sherwin-Williams Company.

The Amynta Group, an industry leading group of warranty, managing general agent and specialty risk companies, announced that it has acquired Guardsman US LLC, Guardsman Australia PTY Limited and Guardsman Industries Limited (collectively, "Guardsman"), a leading furniture care and protection business, with operations in the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom, from The Sherwin-Williams Company, an American Fortune 500 company in the general building materials industry. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Amynta CEO Stuart Hollander said, "With our acquisition of Guardsman, we are continuing to build Amynta's consumer warranty segment and making a significant expansion in the furniture protection, care and repair services space. With more than 100 years in the business, Guardsman has been a long-time leader and today has operations on three continents and a highly-respected brand recognition."
