Announced

Royal Reesink acquired Tingley’s Harvest Center.

Synopsis

Royal Reesink has acquired a majority of the shares in the capital of Tingley’s Harvest Center. Financial terms were not disclosed. Tingley’s is the largest CLAAS dealer in North America and is active in Saskatchewan and Alberta. With a total of three locations, two in Alberta and one in Saskatchewan, it serves an area the size of the Netherlands. Its activities focus mainly on large-scale grain farming, but dairy and other livestock farmers and contractors in the earth-moving sector and in the oil industry are among Tingley’s customers as well. Besides CLAAS, Tingley’s range comprises brands such as JCB, HORSCH, ELMER’S, PENTA, MACDON and others. Tingley’s has a total of 60 employees who serve the area from its three locations. At Royal Reesink, the activities of Tingley’s will be placed in Reesink Canada Holdings Inc. and become part of the Kamps de Wild Holding division. All CLAAS activities in the Netherlands, Kazakhstan and now also Canada are concentrated in the Kamps de Wild Holding division. Royal Reesink is also in talks with other European manufacturers of agricultural machines to develop distribution activities in Canada. This acquisition provides an excellent match with Royal Reesink’s growth strategy, which is based in part on growth with existing brands in new markets, especially as Royal Reesink already represents CLAAS, HORSCH and MACDON in Kazakhstan. There are significant similarities between Western Canadian agriculture and agriculture in Kazakhstan, and therefore synergies can be realised. This acquisition also further improves the spread of Royal Reesink’s agriculture activities across different continents, thus reducing its dependence on climatological and geopolitical developments.
