Synopsis
Lyft, the US-based ride-hailing business, acquired Blue Vision, an augmented reality developer, from asset managers Accel, Horizons Ventures and SV Angel, for $72m. Blue Vision Labs' technology allows Lyft to use smartphone-grade cameras at street-level to build interactive augmented reality layers. In the future, this tech could be used by a self-driving car to better perceive the world around it.
