Sun Capital, a private investment firm specializing in leveraged buyouts and investments in market-leading companies, agreed to acquire the drive technologies businesses of Regal Beloit. The acquired businesses design, engineer and assemble technology-enabled, high performance motor control solutions for industrial applications. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. “We see enormous potential in these businesses, and will provide the support and resources needed to grow them into a successful, stand-alone company,” Marc Leder, Sun Capital Co-CEO.
