Applied Materials, an American corporation that supplies equipment, services and software for the manufacture of semiconductor chips, acquired MDLsoft, a US-based nanotechnology company. Financial terms were not disclosed. By combining the advanced materials-to-device simulation capabilities of MDLSoft’s Ginestra™ software platform with Applied’s materials engineering expertise, the companies aim to accelerate customer development timeline.
