Global Icons to acquire a majority stake in Fred Segal.

Global Icons, a brand licensing firm, acquires a majority stake in Fred Segal, a fashion retailer, from Evolution Media Partners, an investment firm. Financial terms were not disclosed. The company plans to both expand the chain and move it into licensing. The chain will open its ninth location in Malibu, CA.
