Private equity firm Kainos Capital acquired Schuman Cheese, the largest US importer of Italian cheeses. Financial terms were not disclosed. The Schuman family was focused on identifying a partner who could help build a better-for-you snack brand with broad distribution in the mass, grocery, and e-commerce channels. Kainos emerged as the partner of choice due to its extensive relationships and experience in the food industry.
