Danspin acquires Lawton Yarns.

Denmark's only remaining producer of wool yarn, Garnspinderiet Danspin, acquires an English competitor, Lawton Yarns. Financial terms were not disclosed. With the purchase, Danspin takes over 300 employees at the more than 100-year-old Lawton Yarns, but even though the acquisition is part of the consolidation in the industry, Lawton Yarns from West Yorkshire in northern England continues as an independent entity in Danspin.
