Synopsis
Providence completed its acquisition of a 25% stake in Chime, a provider of sports marketing and related public relations, advertising, and event management consultancy services, from WPP, a provider of communications services worldwide, for £54.4m ($69m). The disposal is in line with WPP’s new strategy as set out in December 2018, a key element of which is to focus on its main areas of business and simplify its operations through the disposal of non-core assets.
