Shinhan Financial Group, a leading Korean financial holding company invests in Bukalapak, a leading e-commerce group. Financial terms were not disclosed. Apart from its core online marketplace business, the company offers a slew of products such as streaming video features, offering mutual funds and fintech products. It also allows users to purchase phone credit and pay electricity and insurance bills. The current Series F funding round helps Bukalapak to raise its valuation to $2.5bn.
