Saint-Gobain completed the acquisition of the mortars division of the Celima.

Saint-Gobain, which designs, manufactures and distributes building materials and solutions, completed the acquisition of the mortars division of the Celima. The mortars division acquired is a leader in the country's tiling adhesives market and operates three plants in Lima, Arequipa and Trujillo. Financial terms were not disclosed. This acquisition is in line with the group's strategy of deepening its footprint in emerging countries, and allows Saint-Gobain to accelerate its development and expand its offering in Peru in a fast-growing construction market. The group is already a major player on the country's glass and plasterboard markets.
