Mehiläinen, a provider of healthcare and social care services, offered to acquire Pihlajalinna, a provider of social, healthcare and well-being services in Finland, for $403m. “Pihlajalinna is an outstanding company, which superbly complements the service offering, capabilities and geographical network of the 110-year old Mehiläinen. Together we have the opportunity to offer improved customer service and the highest quality health and social care services for our private, corporate and public sector customers across Finland. The combination also enables us to increase investments in digital services and the international expansion initiated by Mehiläinen. We are also excited about the possibilities that this combination brings with respect to increasing focus on quality work and personnel development.
