Tencent, a Chinese multinational technology conglomerate, led a $144 funding round in Oxford Nanopore, a UK-based company which is developing and selling nanopore sequencing products for the direct, electronic analysis of single molecules. These funds have been raised internationally and include both new investors and existing shareholders, from the US, Europe and Asia/Pacific.
