Monotype, an American company that specializes in digital typesetting and typeface design for use with consumer electronics devices, completed the acquisition of Fontsmith, a London boutique type foundry. Financial terms were not disclosed. "Fontsmith has been a trendsetter in the type community and with this acquisition we’re thrilled to add a well-respected library of fonts and an innovative group of type designers to the Monotype family.
