Wiener Stadtwerke to acquire a 28.35% stake in EVN from EnBW for $895m.

Wiener Stadtwerke, a municipal infrastructure services provider, agreed to acquire a 28.35% stake in EVN, an Austrian-based producer and transporter of electricity, from EnBW, an electric utility company, for $895m. "We have taken the opportunity to exit our indirect stake in EVN on financially attractive terms. The sale is also in line with the divestment targets under our 2020 Strategy and related portfolio transformation," Thoms Kusterer, EnBW CFO.
