Country Bird, an agricultural business in Southern Africa, completed the acquisition of the enterprise foods division of Tiger Brands, a South African food producer, for $24.7m. “One of the major outcomes we would have achieved by selling the businesses as going concerns is that the jobs of almost 1k employees will be safeguarded,” Noel Doyle, Tiger Brands Chief Executive.
