KKR agreed to acquire ESG Group, a South Korean waste treatment company, from private equity firm Anchor Equity Partners for $739m. The acquisition was KKR’s first buyout deal in Korea in two years, following the launch of the $1.3bn KKR Global Impact Fund in February. The fund focuses on sectors providing commercial solutions to environmental or social problems, including waste management.
