Corning, a technology company that specializes in specialty glass, ceramics, and related materials, completed the acquisition of a 80.5% stake in Hemlock Semiconductor, a provider of hyper-pure polycrystalline silicon and other silicon-based products used in the manufacture of semiconductor devices, solar cells and modules, from DuPont, a multinational chemical company, for $725m.
