Equitix to acquire Maple TopCo from OMERS, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board and SSE.

Equitix, a UK investor, developer and fund manager, agreed to acquire Maple TopCo, a smart-metering business, from investors OMERS, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board and SSE. Financial terms were not disclosed. "We are delighted to be acquiring MapleCo and keen to deliver its next phase of growth. This acquisition furthers our participation in the UK smart metering programme which aligns with our business objectives of investing in the country's sustainable energy transition initiatives," Achal Bhuwania, Equitix Deputy Chief Investment Officer.
