PT Bank BRISyariah to merge with PT Bank BNI Syariah and PT Bank Syariah Mandiri.

PT Bank BRISyariah, a commercial bank, agreed to merge with PT Bank BNI Syariah and PT Bank Syariah Mandiri, Indonesia’s state Islamic banks. Financial terms were not disclosed. "The resulting bank will raise Indonesia’s profile on the global stage and revive the domestic Shariah economy. The merged entity will also look at global sukuk that can be sold in the Middle East,” Hery Gunardi, Bank Mandiri Vice President Director.
