Brookfield Asset Management to acquire Polenergia for $281m.

Investment firm Brookfield Asset Management offered to acquire Polenergia, the first Polish private group in power industry made up of vertically integrated companies functioning in the area of generation of power from conventional and renewable sources, for $281m. "The investment represents an opportunity to invest in a leading onshore wind platform and provides an attractive entry into the offshore wind sector in Europe through a 3,000-MW development pipeline, which we expect to construct over the next five to seven years in partnership with an experienced offshore wind developer," Connor Teskey, Brookfield Renewable Partners CEO.
