Q-Energy Private Equity completed the acquisition of Ence Energía Solar from Ence Energia y Celulosa for $204m.

Q-Energy Private Equity, a Spain-based private equity firm, completed the acquisition of Ence Energía Solar, an owner of a 50 MW thermosolar power plant located in Puertollano, from Ence Energia y Celulosa, a Spain-based producer of eucalyptus cellulose and renewable energy with forestry waste, for $204m, including debt. The agreement reached with Q-Energy includes the possibility of jointly hybridizing the CSP plant with the incorporation of a biomass boiler in order to convert a non-manageable renewable asset into a manageable one and thereby optimize its use.
