Macquarie, a provider of financing and investment capital, agreed to invest $260m in Archer Capital-backed illion, an Australian data registries conglomerate. Archer is expected to use Macquarie Capital's funding as an interim liquidity event, and revisit plans to sell illion in full should market conditions settle down in the coming few years. The recapitalisation sees the firm retain control at illion.
