Discovery, a global media company, completed the acquisition of television business of Mediaworks, a publishing company. Financial terms were not disclosed. The portfolio will become part of Discovery’s Kiwi-based channel portfolio, which already includes six pay-tv channels: Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Food Network, Living and Discovery Turbo. It also owns two free-to-air channels, HGTV and Choice TV, acquired following a recent deal with Top TV.
