TPG and Northstar Group to acquire an 80% stake in Japfa's dairy unit for $236m.

Private equity firms TPG and Northstar Group agreed to acquire an 80% stake in a Singapore-based food company Japfa's dairy unit for $236m. The partnership will help drive Japfa's dairy business in Southeast Asia, where demand for products such as milk and yogurt is expected to grow in the next few years.
