Funimation Global Group completed the acquisition of Crunchyroll from AT&T for $1.2bn.

Funimation Global Group, a subsidiary of Sony and an American entertainment company that specializes in the dubbing and distribution of East Asian media, completed the acquisition of Crunchyroll, an American distributor, publisher, production and licensing company focused on streaming anime, from AT&T, a telecommunications company, for $1.2bn. “We are proud to bring Crunchyroll into the Sony family.
