Sanofi to form a joint venture with Capgemini, Generali and Orange in France.

Synopsis

Sanofi, a healthcare company based in France, agreed to form a joint venture dedicated to e-health with Capgemini, Generali, a global insurance and asset management provider, and Orange, a French multinational telecommunications corporation. The founding partners are planning an initial investment of €24m in the new entity, which will be operational from June 2021 for the virtual platform and December 2021 for the physical platform. “This project is the cornerstone of the open ecosystem centered on digital technology and healthcare data that we want to build with our partners. Our shared ambition is to bring together all the players, including startups, that will collectively invent the future of healthcare for the benefit of patients and thereby place France at the heart of European innovation in this strategic field,” Paul Hudson, Sanofi CEO.
