Bodal Chemicals completed the acquisition of Siel Chemical Complex from Mawana Sugars for $19m.

Bodal Chemicals, a chemicals company, completed the acquisition of Siel Chemical Complex, the chemical unit of Mawana Sugars, the 6th largest sugar producing entity in India, for $19m. Mawana Sugars in its sale agreement had said it was selling its chemical unit in order to liquidate huge cane arrears/term debt affecting the fortunes of the company.
