smava, a loan portal in Germany, completed the acquisition of FFG Finanzcheck Finanzportale, an online comparison website for private financial products, from Hellman & Friedman, an American private equity firm, for £176m. The acquisition will strengthen smava's position on the digital consumer lending market in Germany, where the company has served over 500k clients since its launch in 2007.
