Naturgy to acquire a 50% stake in UFG from Eni.

Naturgy, a Spanish multinational natural gas and electrical energy utilities company, agreed to acquire a 50% stake in Unión Fenosa Gas, a Spanish company dedicated to the importation of natural gas, from Eni, an Italian energy firm. The transaction entails the amicable settlement of its commercial disputes in Egypt. Financial terms were not disclosed. Regarding Unión Fenosa Gas' activities outside Egypt, Eni will assume the natural gas commercialization activities in Spain, reinforcing its presence in the European gas market.
