Contemporary Amperex Technology to acquire a 25% stake in the Kisanfu copper-cobalt mine from China Molybdenum for $137m.

Contemporary Amperex Technology, a Chinese battery maker, agreed to acquire a 25% stake in the Kisanfu copper-cobalt mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo from China Molybdenum, the largest molybdenum producer in Mainland China, for $137m. A broad strategic partnership between the two companies will see them cooperate in nickel, including in Indonesia where they both have projects, as well as in global acquisitions, investments and development of lithium.
