Hydrofarm to acquire House & Garden for $125m.

Synopsis

Hydrofarm, an independent distributor and manufacturer of hydroponics equipment and supplies for controlled environment agriculture, agreed to acquire House & Garden, which produces and distributes premium-grade plant nutrients and fertilizers across the globe, for $125m. “House & Garden offers a strong product line of plant nutrients that will strengthen our position in the nutrient sector and complement our rapidly expanding portfolio of premium products for controlled environment agriculture. House & Garden’s expansive distribution network across nearly 40 states and 10 countries provides a tremendous opportunity for us to extend our global reach and market penetration,” Bill Toler, Hydrofarm Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
