Macquarie Group to acquire Sorabol City Gas and Haeyang Energy from Korea Energy Holdings for $714m.

Macquarie Group, an investment firm, agreed to acquire Sorabol City Gas and Haeyang Energy, two providers of gas distribution services, from Korea Energy Holdings, a provider of financial services, for $714m. Following the acquisition, Macquarie Group will own 16 portfolio companies associated with Korea’s infrastructure assets such as toll roads, a harbor and a subway line.
