Kadant, a global supplier of high-value, critical components and engineered systems, agreed to acquire Joh. Clouth, a manufacturer of doctor blades and related equipment used in the production of paper, packaging, and tissue, and its affiliates for c.€78m ($94m), subject to certain customary adjustments. “After nearly 150 years of building a world-class reputation for quality doctor blades, we are excited about this new chapter in our company's history. Kadant’s relentless focus on serving customers with high-performance products and service is consistent with our business approach and positions Clouth well for continued growth,” Peter Kochenrath, Clouth CEO.
