South Island Office-backed Original Foods, a food manufacturer, completed the acquisition of Sara Lee, a frozen baked goods provider, from McCain Foods, a Canadian multinational frozen food company. Financial terms were not disclosed. For the past two years, McCain Foods has been working to establish Sara Lee as a separate standalone operation in readiness for a spinoff.
