Siam Makro, the Cash & Carry operator in wholesale trade center for professional business operators in Thailand, completed the acquisition of Lotus, a retail chain in Thailand, from Charoen Pokphand Group, a Thai conglomerate based in Bangkok, for $10.9bn. “Siam Makro can use Charoen Pokphand’s retailing expertise to help improve its property management and unlock value in the future. It will be able to collaborate with companies under the CP Group to boost revenue and optimise costs.”
