Meridiam completed the acquisition of a minority stake in Setrag from Comilog for $83m.

Synopsis

Meridiam, a global investor and asset manager specialized in developing, financing and managing long-term public infrastructure projects, completed the acquisition of a minority stake in Setrag, operator of the Transgabonese railway, from Comilog, a manganese mining and processing company, for $83m. Meridiam now owns 40% stake in Setrag. "We are thrilled to become a shareholder of Setrag, alongside Comilog, Eramet and the Gabon State. This investment will contribute to accelerate the Transgabonais pace of investment and increase the capacity of the railway line. This strategic and vital infrastructure will benefit to the communities and local businesses and support the country’s development and economic growth," Mathieu Peller, Meridiam Partner and COO of Africa.
