Generation Investment and Origin Energy to invest $655m in Octopus Energy.

Generation Investment, an investment management firm, and Origin Energy, an Australian listed public energy company, agreed to invest $655m in Octopus Energy, a UK-based retail electricity and gas supplier specialising in sustainable energy. “Whilst the UK energy market is currently in a tough state, it’s highlighted the need for investment in renewables and technologies to end our reliance on fossil fuels.
