Royal SMIT completed the acquisition of DNV’s Transformer Oil Laboratory.

Royal SMIT, a subsidiary of SGB-SMIT, completed the acquisition of the transformer oil laboratory of DNV, an independent energy expert and assurance provider. Financial terms were not disclosed. “With this acquisition, the SGB-SMIT Group further strengthens its services in the field of insulation oil analysis and its position as an expert in the service and maintenance of technologically high-quality transformers. The ISO 17025 accreditation will guarantee the independent position of the oil laboratory-related services”, Roland Vrenken, Royal SMIT Transformers CEO.
