eQ Community Properties, a property real estate fund, agreed to acquire education facilities from The City of Jyväskylä for $159m. The deal is significant for the city. The purpose of the capital gains is to cover Jyväskylä's share of the deficits of the Central Finland Hospital District. The deficit of the hospital districts must be covered before the start of the welfare areas, ie by the end of 2022.
