Hackman Capital and Square Mile Capital to acquire CBS Studio Center from ViacomCBS for $1.85bn.

Two real estate investment firms Hackman Capital and Square Mile Capital agreed to acquire CBS Studio Center, a television and film studio, from ViacomCBS, an American diversified multinational mass media conglomerate, for $1.85bn. “This sale is part of an ongoing optimization of ViacomCBS’ real estate and operations portfolio and will allow the company to re-deploy capital to strategic growth priorities, including streaming,” Naveen Chopra, ViacomCBS EVP and CFO.
