AVR-Afvalverwerking, a Rotterdam-based waste-to-energy company, agreed to acquire AEB, the largest single location waste-to-energy facility in Europe, from the municipality of Amsterdam for €450m. The sale of AEB is the result of a competitive sales process. With its vast experience in the Netherlands and excellent reputation in the area of sustainability and CO2 capture, AVR emerged as the most suitable buyer for AEB.
