Synopsis
Clarios, a company in energy storage solutions, powering one in three of the world's vehicles, completed the acquisition of Metalúrgica de Medina, a Spanish company in the recycling and transformation of lead batteries and other lead components into pure and alloyed lead ingots. Financial terms were not disclosed. “The acquisition further centralizes and vertically integrates our business to reduce supplier risks and lower costs. It also strengthens our circular economy approach to ensure materials are responsibly recovered, recycled and reused to make new batteries,” Jose Domingo, Clarios vice president of operations for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
