Lactalis to acquire the freshness business unit of BMI.

Lactalis, a firm operating in the dairy industry, agreed to acquire the freshness business unit of Bayerische Milchindustrie, a producer of dairy products. Financial terms were not disclosed. "We would like to continue the successful work of BMI by further developing the regional brands Frankenland, Thüringer Land and Haydi," Morten Felthaus, Lactalis Managing Director in Germany.
