Menlo Ventures, a private equity firm, led a $28m Series A funding round in Pinecone Systems, a software solutions provider, with participation from Tiger Global and Wing Venture Capital. "Search technology has revolved around keywords for hundreds of years; books contained search indexes before the invention of the printing press.
