Index Ventures, a venture capital firm, led a $23m Series A round in Rooser, a company which provides a marketplace for sourcing fish aimed both at those fishing and those buying for wholesale, trade or retail, with participation from GV, Point Nine Capital, Dylan Field, and David Nothacker. “It’s enabling less wastage, but it’s also just empowering seafood traders to do their jobs better. We have been investing in categories and infrastructure to be more sustainable and we see Rooser as consistent with that,” Georgia Stevenson, Index Partner.
