Britishvolt to acquire EAS from Monbat Group for €36m.

Britishvolt, a manufacturer of low carbon lithium-ion batteries, agreed to acquire EAS, an advanced technology battery cell developer and manufacturer, from Monbat Group, a Bulgaria-based company engaged in the production and maintenance of lead-acid starter and stationary accumulator batteries, for €36m. “This acquisition – the second in our short history, and first overseas – underscores the drive and determination of Britishvolt to offer best-in-class battery solutions to our customers. Following on from our recent announcement of a development roadmap to marine battery solutions, EAS will also facilitate getting battery systems to this particular market segment quicker and help the pathway to decarbonisation," Orral Nadjari, Britishvolt Founder and CEO.
