Rivulis to acquire the international irrigation business of Jain Irrigation Systems.

Rivulis, a portfolio company of Temasek, agreed to acquire the international irrigation business of Jain Irrigation Systems, an India-based micro irrigation systems company. Financial terms were not disclosed. “Jain Irrigation’s international businesses are the amalgamation of pioneering and pathbreaking companies which were brought together over a period under Jain Irrigation’s leadership – be it NaanDan, the original inventor of the sprinkler, or Chapin Watermatics that led the way for unique tape technology. We anticipate that the merger with Rivulis will create a world leading player ideally placed to serve its global customer base thanks to its geographic footprint, breadth of offering as well as from technological depth and expertise in micro irrigation," Anil Jain, Jain Irrigation Managing Director.
