Announced

Polskie Koleje Liniowe to acquire 74% stake in Trakcja for $42m.

Synopsis

Polskie Koleje Liniowe, a mountain tourism operator in Poland, agreed to acquire 74% stake in Trakcja, a construction firm that constructs building, highway, roads and bridges, for $42m. "The milestone of the mission, which was entrusted to the new management in March of this year by the Supervisory Board, was achieved today. Today, we complete the negotiation process we have been preparing for several months with the Investor, shareholders, financing institutions and other stakeholders. It was a process that involved contributions from a wide range of individuals whose efforts cannot be overestimated. Trakcja becomes a Polish company again and joins the PKP PLK S.A. capital group, regaining full operability and ending a period marked by financial issues and problematic contracts," Jakub Lechowicz, Trakcja CEO.
